50 years of professional experience in polymer industries in different disciplines namely production, processing, marketing and general management.
Career started in 1960 from Union Carbide Industries Ltd. From 1967 worked with Erstwhile Polyolefins Industries Ltd.(PIL) and later with National Organic Chemical Industries Ltd. (NOCIL). Superannuated from NOCIL as Vice President Marketing – Polymers in the year 1999. After retirement had another innings of 4 years as Senior Vice President of NOCIL's HDPE pipe division. Further to this established Marigold International Pvt. Ltd. – A trading company for Arvind Mafatlal Group, trading in Polymers and Chemicals and worked as Managing Director for three years.
Since 2006, was the Chairman of Allied Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. He was responsible for establishing the first PE pipe manufacturing plant in Malaysia, a joint venture from PIL, India, Hoechst Germany and Malaysia., Worked as General Manager of the company for 6 years Polypipe Manufacturer Sdn. Bhd. A life member in Indian Plastic Institute (IPI). He was, Vice Chairman of governing council of Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) for 6 years. Awarded Fellowship in Packaging by IIP. Currently a sitting member of PE pipe committee of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
