It is produced using raw materials derived from crude oil and natural gas, with the key components being purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and monoethylene glycol (MEG). These components are chemically reacted through a polycondensation process to form a base polymer, which goes through solid stating process to become PET resins. These resins are suitable for producing packaging either in blow molded or thermoformed.
